Coffee: a new kind of gold
Millions of coffee bags are sold every year.
In fact, during 2020-2021,
167 million of 60kgr coffee bags were sold.
At this rate, studies estimate that the
global coffee market will reach 495.50
billion dollars in 2023, with the market growing
by 4.47%. By 2025, 84% of spending and 21%
of volume consumption in the coffee business
will come from consumption outside the home,
in cafes, bars and restaurants.
In recent years, it has been observed that
consumers are more informed about how the
products they buy are made and their origin.
This is due to two factors:
1. During the pandemic, more consumers learned to make their coffee at home. They bought equipment,
experimented, practiced.
2. Inflation and product revaluation lead to a more careful choice, which is based on quality.
Therefore, more consumers are looking for certified coffee products to ensure the reliability of their
coffee purchases. At the same time, new forms of coffee such as capsules for consumption at home are
increasing in popularity, offering even more options with new flavors and aromas that can be enjoyed
from the comfort of home.
